Special Agent Steve is a handsome, big-boy Maine Coon mix estimated to be about 4-years old.  Steve has recently completed a very important covert assignment for the KIA (Kitteh Intelligence Agency) and now has found himself in a shelter, of all places…not the cushy desk job back at headquarters his bosses promised him!  Steve has now decided to retire from his life of international intrigue and settle down with that extra special forever family he has always wanted.

Steve is dressed to kill in a gorgeous brown tabby coat, with lots of extra fluff on his gigantic man-cat feet.  The shelter staff doesn’t know if Steve has ever had a home before and doubts that he has received much attention or love in the past.  He is a shy, yet very sweet, boy and enjoys getting attention and pets.  He has even managed to land a temporary position as the shelter office helper due to his sweet personality.  Being a shy guy, Steve has spent his time under cover, hunting in hidden corners and the underside of furniture for dust-mousies.  He is getting more comfortable as time goes by, and should be up on the desk, helping answer adoption inquiries soon.

Steve enjoys the company of other cats.  It is not known if he has lived with dogs, so it is uncertain if he would enjoy the company of a canine friend.

Steve is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations.  Steve has tested positive for FIV, but is a big healthy boy and this should not prevent him from living a good long life with a loving family that will make sure he gets regular veterinary wellness check-ups to keep him in top shape.

Steve is located in Rocky Mount, VA.  If you are interested in adopting him, please contact Ms. Scott at ascott@embarqmail.com , or call 540-400-1204.
