Beautiful Maine Coon mix, Brooklyn, was left behind by her former owners when they moved. She fended for herself for nearly two weeks, locked in an empty home with nothing more than an open bag of food left for her, when she was finally found by NYC Housing Authority. Luckily, Brooklyn was then taken in by a kind caregiver and is currently living in his carpenter shop.
Brooklyn enjoys the company of the shop staff and everyone who comes and goes, but she gets very lonely by herself after hours and on weekends when no one is there. She so appreciates having a safe place to stay and good food in her belly, but what she really wants is a nice forever home and family to call her very own.
Brooklyn is estimated to be about 4 years old, has a gorgeous tabby-patterned coat, and the fanciest ear floofies ever! She is also front-paw declawed. Brooklyn is very affectionate (a big fluffy mush, to be exact) and loves to be petted and have a nice lap on which to sit.
Brooklyn will need a wellness veterinary visit to make sure she is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. Despite having to fend for herself for a while, Brooklyn maintains her lady-like ways and has perfect litter box manners.
