As the news was breaking of the horrific and senseless killing of Cecil the lion at Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, Lea, along with 10 other kittens and the two mama cats that gave birth to them, were being pulled into rescue from an animal shelter in New Jersey. They had been brought to the shelter, together and unwanted. With the threat of euthanasia looming over their little heads, OMC! Rescue quickly stepped in to save them. Today they are safe and being cared for by their loving foster families as they anxiously await their forever homes.
Lea is a gorgeous Maine Coon/DLH mix baby girl with a pretty tabby-patterned coat and too many toes to count on her polydactyl feet. She’s got ear tufts a mile long. Lea enjoys being petted, but is still a bit cautious in her interactions with her foster family. With time, she should emerge into an affectionate, playful young lady.
Lea is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is also litter box trained. More about LeaGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults
