Beau is a very handsome 9 or 10 year-old big boy. He is a gray/black/brown Maine Coon mix. Beau is looking for a permanent home since his mom went into an assisted living facility. Beau is a very friendly and affectionate cat. He loves to eat and will let you know if it's meal time. Beau also loves to talk. He will often greet you with a meow when he sees you. He loudly purrs his approval when you scratch his head or under his chin. He will even let you rub his belly. He returns the rubs by gently nuzzling against your shin and brushing by with his long, plume-like tail. Don’t let his age fool you because he is quite playful and likes to play with cat toys. Beau is great with kids and will watch TV with you. And this big boy enjoys being picked up and held. Beau currently lives with other cats. We aren’t sure how he’d react to living with a dog. He is litter box trained but got ambushed by another cat while “doing his business.” Ever since then, Beau has been scared to defecate in the litter box--even though he does get very close. Happily, he has no issues using the litter box to urinate. His fear may be removed once he is away from his tormentor. Beau would be the purrfect cat for someone who can give him the attention and affection he deserves to live out his golden days. Beau has a sensitive stomach and is content eating Iams or Purina dry food for sensitive stomachs. Beau was an indoor/outdoor cat at his previous home, so he may still want to go outside. In his current home, he is strictly indoor. Beau is up to date on all vaccines, is spayed and not declawed. Beau has not been combo tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Beau gets along well with other cats but he would probably thrive and be happiest in a home where he is the only cat. Beau is located in Elkridge, Md.
