***HIGH-ENERGY YOUNGSTER SEEKS EXPERIENCED CAT PARENT(S)!***

Meet Fajita -- a handsome, one-year-old Maine Coon mix who was picked up as a stray by a rescue in North Carolina before being transferred to OMCR. Fajita is spunky and sassy -- and he loves to play, play, PLAY! (He's seriously like the Energizer Bunny -- he keeps going, and going, and going....) Fajita is also really silly and likes to flop over on his back and wriggle around as soon as someone enters his room. (If he were in high school, he would definitely be voted "Class Clown"!) He occasionally stays still long enough for a few chin or cheek rubs, but then he jumps back into "play" mode.

Fajita loves pretty much any toy, but his favorites are wand toys and a laser pointer. It takes a lot to tire him out, and he will let his person(s) know if he's not done playing yet (or if he just wants attention) -- usually with a nip to the leg. Redirection and positive reinforcement are very important for a young cat like Fajita, so his adopter(s) will need to be committed to working with him and helping him develop into a well-behaved (but still playful :) ) boy. Because of all that, Fajita's foster parents feel that he would do best with an experienced cat parent (or parents).

Fajita currently lives in a home with several resident cats -- a couple of whom he has met -- and he shares a room with another (very docile) foster cat. He's displayed mild interest in the other kitties, but he appears to mainly want to play with whatever human is in the room. He also has met "up close and personal" the three large dogs living in his foster home and has been totally fine with them. Fajita's foster parents believe that he would be perfectly content as an only fur child, though, so his adoptive home is not required to have any other pets. *PLEASE NOTE: Because Fajita gets overstimulated very easily and tends to be "bitey," he will NOT be placed in a home with young children.

Fajita has been neutered, is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. He also uses his litter box and scratching posts like a good boy!

Fajita is located in Burke, Virginia. If you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an adoption application on our website: https://omcrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6177. You may also e-mail us at info@omcrescue.org if you have any questions or would like to learn more about Fajita.
