***Penelope is in Philadelphia, Pa. Please contact her caregiver Sarah at sarahetalabiska@gmail.com and NOT OMC Rescue for a quicker response. Penelope is a gorgeous 3-year-old brown/white purebred Maine Coon with papers.
Penelope is very friendly and outgoing. She loves to be around people. She will cry when she cannot find her humans and will stop crying when she finds someone to cuddle with. Penelope loves to be on your lap and loves to have her ears scratched. When she is not on your lap, she will sit in front of a window and watch people or other animals go by. Penelope also loves to sun bathe. Penelope can be picked up and will start purring like a machine when she is picked up. Penelope also loves to hide and pop out at people coming into new rooms. She loves to play with her toys and her favorite toy is a small mouse toy that she carries around and she will present her toy mouse to you at least once a day.
Penelope will meow obsessively when lunch meat is out and being used. She will try to reach the top of the counter to pull down the lunch meat. She also tries to climb into the fridge when it is open to get lunch meat out. She is getting better about this with the use of a small spray bottle with water in it. The sight of the spray bottle is enough to deter her. Penelope has never bitten anyone with the intention to harm you or to be malicious, but she does have a playful bite.
Penelope mom is moving for work and she cannot take Penelope with her.
Penelope is good with dogs and cats. She can be nervous around new dogs, cats and people at first but quickly warms up them. It is unknown is she will be good around children.
Penelope is up to date on all vaccines, tested negative to FelV/FIV. She is spayed and is not declawed.
