Mario is a very handsome and LARGE boy. Said to be a pure bred maine coon kitty, but we have no papers for him. He is a real love bug, sleeps in the bed with you at night, makes biscuits on you if you’ll let him, his huge mitts tend to hurt while he is making them! But you don’t want to interrupt because its so endearing. He loves to play with the turbo scratcher toy, makes that ball go round and round. He does well with other kitties, actually quite timid when it comes to other cats and will keep his distance if they show any fussiness his way. Not big on dogs actually runs away and will keep distance. So its best that he go to a home without dogs. Mario was shaved down to give him comfort, he was severely matted when he arrived. The mats where so thick and tight to his skin he was in pain and miserable. With his haircut came a wonderfully loving kitty! He loves to be with his human. Once his coat grows back in, he will have a beautiful orangey buff coat, he will need help with maintaining it though! That’s where you come in. He is current with all vaccines and has had urinary tract issues which are being controlled with diet at this time. He has had three blockages to date from mucus plugs not crystals. His specialist stated that should he become blocked again PERINEAL URETHOSTOMY surgery (widening of the urethra) will be the next and immediate course of treatment. Please research this as it may become a reality with adopting Mario. His current diet and leisure lifestyle are keeping him healthy and happy. Its now time to find him a loving and attentive home. He has been blocked 3 times, IF he is blocked again he will need surgery to fix. At this time his condition is being controlled with diet. |
