Armando is shy at first, but with some one on one bonding time, he quickly warms up to you. This means you want to start him in a room where he can't hide when you enter. He's very food motivated, so it's a good idea to sit with him while he eats. He will allow you to pet him while he eats, which is a good start. He'll realize you're the food person, and soon enough he greets you when you enter. Once he's fully trusting of you, he'll chat with you, purr and love head pets, and weave in and out of your legs as you wander down the hall. He'll find a mouse toy or catnip toy to play with, but it's once he's confident around you that you'll find him playing around you. Otherwise, he'll scamper and explore at night. He's not big on string toys, and doesn't like being held, but will tolerate it. He is wonderful around other cats, and can be found headbutting them to show them he wants to be friends. He isn't yet a lap cat, but he loves to be in the same room as everyone else. You can find him watching the action from the hallway or entrance to the bedrooms (when he's not tripping you by weaving around).
