Introducing Poseidon, a stunning grey Maine Coon mix who came to us from a hoarding situation with his buddy, Apollo. Six-year-old Poseidon is a truly magnificent cat; he’s an extra-large boy weighing in at 17 pounds, with a glorious, fluffy tail and amazing toe tufts! Oh -- and he’s also a polydactyl! Poseidon is a shy boy and mostly likes to observe things from a distance, but he's slowing coming out of his shell and giving headbutts and allowing brief pets and ear rubs. He will need a patient and understanding family to help him grow into a confident kitty.

While Poseidon is fine with most other cats (he doesn’t like the dominant ones, as he’s proven with one of the other cats in his foster home), he seems to be nervous around dogs and tends to hide under the bed when the resident canines are close by. (He MIGHT be okay with a very calm dog, though.)

Poseidon is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, and he has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He is also front paw declawed and microchipped, and he uses the litter box like a good boy!
