Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large
Say hello to Penny, a pretty grey-and-white Maine Coon mix who was surrendered to us by her previous owner, along with her friend Kimmy, because she was being bullied by one of the other cats in the household. At just a little over a year old, Penny is a sweet but shy girl who needs a family who will allow her to be herself and give her all the time she needs to come out of her shell. She is very bonded with Kimmy, who we believe is actually her biological aunt and who acts like her protector, so we are requiring that the two girls be adopted together. Besides being good with other cats, Penny seems to be okay with dogs just as long as they’re not in her personal space. She hasn't had any exposure to children, but because of her shyness, she would probably do best in a home with older, considerate children only. Penny is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She also uses the litter box like a good girl. Penny is located in Burke, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption application for her on our website: http://www.omcrescue.org/forms/adoption_application.php.
