Meet Lona, a gorgeous black Maine Coon mix who came to us from an animal shelter in New Jersey, along with 10 other kittens and the two mama cats who gave birth to them. Five-month-old Lona was rather shy when she first got to her foster home, but after getting lots of TLC from her foster parents, she has started to come out of her shell and allows them to pet her. She also really enjoys a fun play session and loves to chase after her siblings and wrestle with them once she’s caught them!
Besides being great with other cats, Lona appears to be fine with dogs, just as long as her introductions to them aren’t rushed. (Her foster parents have dog-tested her with their dogs.) She hasn't had any exposure to children, but she would probably do well with them, too.
Lona is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She also uses the litter box like a good girl.
Lona is located in Burke, VA. If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an adoption application for her on our website: http://www.omcrescue.org/forms/adoption_application.php. You may also e-mail us at info@omcrescue.org if you have any questions or would like to learn more about Lona.
