Nan and Nikki are beautiful, petite Maine Coon mix sisters. Both girls have beautiful tabby-patterned coats, with Nikki being a slightly lighter brown in color. Born in April 2014, they are just a little over one year old and are ready for a human family to call their own. Nan and Nikki have been together since they were born and are highly bonded, so they must be adopted together.
Nan and Nikki are a bit shy, but are getting more outgoing every day. Nan is the more outgoing of the two, quick to explore and rub on your shoes, especially thinking shoes with laces are great fun. Once she gets to know you a little bit, she happily accepts pets and will give little head bumps.
Nikki takes her cues from her sister, watching to see if Nan is comfortable with you. Once her sister gives the OK (some secret sister signal undetectable by humans), Nikki is all in, sniffing, circling, giving nose bumps, and then taking a little pat.
Still coming out of their shells, Nan and Nikki would do best with a family that will be patient with them as they get comfortable with their new setting and get to know their humans.
Both Nan and Nikki enjoy the company of their kitty roommates at the humane society so they should be fine with other cats in their new home. Of course, they are true BFFs and will be just as happy to be their new family’s only kitties.
Nan and Nikki are spayed and up-to-date on their vaccinations, and they have tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They always uses their litter box like little ladies.
