Maine Coon / Domestic Long Hair / Mixed (long coat) : : Young : : Large
Sweetie Pie is a pretty little Maine Coon mix looking for a forever family who will give her lots of time, patience and love to help her come out of her shell. Sweetie Pie is just under one year old (as of April 2015), and proudly wears a beautiful shiny coat with classic tabby markings. She also has very well developed feet fluffies, ear tufts, and a swishy tail that seems to be a mile long. She is very social with other cats and welcomes their company, and she even tolerates her foster family’s canine companions. Sweetie Pie just needs some help getting accustomed to and trusting humans.
Sweetie Pie has come a long way since she first came from the shelter to her foster home in February 2015, when she was absolutely petrified of her two-legged housemates. Today, she is content to share space with her foster family as long as no one attempts to pet her or pick her up. When her foster mom is working on the computer, or sitting on the sofa watching television, Sweetie Pie will help herself up onto a comfy chair to relax. She will also come near her foster mom when the other kitties are coming over, seeking attention. If a person gets too close to her, moves too quickly in her direction, or tries to pet her, she runs away in a flash to hide. She is not aggressive, rather just really, really shy.
Sweetie Pie’s foster mom will continue to work with her on trusting her people while Sweetie Pie waits for a perfect, loving family of her own.
Sweetie Pie is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and she has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is also litter box trained.
