I need to re-home a Maine Coon cat as an "only pet" Loki is approximately a 4-year-old Maine Coon mix I rescued from a shelter. My husband and I have worked very hard to integrate him with our other three cats, but it's just not working out. We feel he would be much happier and better off as the only pet in a household...King of the Castle, if you will. We are sure this is due to him not being socialized with other cats at a young age, being in a crowded shelter, and moved on a constant basis before I adopted him. He is very sweet and loving to us; just not to our other cats. He loves ear and chin scratches, belly rubs, and looking out the window from his cat seat. He is neutered and up-to-date on all shots. He is an indoor-only cat and litter trained. He has his claws, but he uses a cat post covered with sisal rope (his favorite).
